On December 19, on Saint Nicholas' Day, Ukrainian children in Warsaw were visited by SkySanta. He flew from Ukraine to congratulate the little ones with gifts from the SkyUp airline company, which is currently running a charter program on behalf of the tour operator Join UP! from Poland. The holiday was organized at the CHILDREN HUB center, created by the Future for Ukraine charitable foundation for adaptation, development, and psychological support of Ukrainian children of immigrants in EU countries.
"We thank our partner SkyUp for taking care of young Ukrainians who are forced to stay in Poland. And also to the permanent benefactor of CHILDREN HUB, Vadim Stolar, for the constant support of our wards. We, as adults, have to do everything in our power to preserve the joy of childhood for them. So we are not stopping there, and already in the spring we are planning to launch an interesting project for children related to the choice of a profession at Children HUB," said the head of CHILDREN HUB, Marta Sytenko.
"Currently, thousands of Ukrainian mothers and children are forced to stay abroad, fleeing from the war. In these difficult times, it is so important to give children care and a joyful mood, especially on Saint Nicholas Day! That is why our SkySanta came with gifts for the wonderful children at the Polish CHILDREN HUB. We believe that their cherished dream, namely a winning flight home, will soon come true," said Marianna Hryhorash, head of marketing at SkyUp.
Ukrainian children have been attending free classes at the hub in Warsaw for more than six months. As of today, nearly 1,000 children aged 3 to 15 have visited CHILDREN HUB about 5,000 times. Here, the large audiences, the office of a psychologist, a speech therapist, an art therapist, learning English, urban ecology, and creative and developmental classes with specialists are waiting for them.
The goal of the Future for Ukraine charitable foundation is to create and develop a network of hubs in EU countries. To give children the opportunity to feel at home where they ended up fleeing the war, and to give them a happy childhood. In CHILDREN HUB, there are a lot of talk about Ukraine, its culture, people, and values, which the teachers instill in our children. After all, Ukrainians are the only ones to which corner of the world they would not be thrown by the war.
